💙 Second Donation Sent – Helping Addy’s Spay
Thanks to the incredible support from all of you — through book purchases, stickers, and Round-Up for Rescue donations — Lunging Luca’s Rescue Fund has sent another $200 donation to the Northern Chapter of the Great Dane Rescue of New England!
This donation will go directly toward helping Addy, the sweet Harlequin Great Dane featured in our first Rescue Spotlight. Addy is scheduled for her spay and distemper vaccine, and this support helps cover part of her total care cost of $585.
As the Rescue shared:
“Addy is scheduled for her spay and distemper vaccine, and we need to raise $585 to cover it. This beautiful Harlequin girl has been stealing hearts everywhere she goes, but before she can officially start her forever, she needs a little extra care. 💙
Spaying isn’t just another step — for giant breeds like Danes, it’s an important part of keeping them healthy and happy. It helps prevent certain cancers, keeps life calmer with other dogs, and ensures our rescues are set up for long, healthy futures.”

💙 First Donation Sent – Addy’s Fund Grows!
We’re thrilled to share that on Saturday, August 2, we officially mailed a $200 donation check to Melissa Mitchell, founder of the Northern Chapter of the Great Dane Rescue of New England — our first contribution through Lunging Luca’s Rescue Fund!
This donation helps support Addy, the very first Dane featured in Luca’s Rescue Spotlight, and we’re honored to walk alongside her journey toward healing and hope.

💙 First Donation Update – $200 and Counting!
Thanks to the overwhelming support from Luca’s community — through book orders, custom stickers, and Round-Up for Rescue donations — we’re excited to share that Lunging Luca’s Rescue Fund is preparing to make its very first donation: $200!
This is just the beginning, and it means so much that Luca’s story is already helping real dogs in need. Whether this donation goes toward sponsoring a specific Dane, covering vet care, food, or transport, we’re working closely with the Northern Chapter of the Great Dane Rescue of New England to ensure it makes the biggest possible impact.
