💙 First Donation Sent – Addy’s Fund Grows!

We’re thrilled to share that on Saturday, August 2, we officially mailed a $200 donation check to Melissa Mitchell, founder of the Northern Chapter of the Great Dane Rescue of New England — our first contribution through Lunging Luca’s Rescue Fund!

This donation helps support Addy, the very first Dane featured in Luca’s Rescue Spotlight, and we’re honored to walk alongside her journey toward healing and hope.

Here’s what Melissa shared on the rescue’s Facebook page:

"A heartfelt thank you! We've raised $225 so far for Addy’s care — and we’re honored to have received a generous $200 donation from the Lunging Luca’s Rescue Fund, bringing us to $425 toward her ongoing medical needs, including her future spay."

💙 First Donation Update – $200 and Counting!

Thanks to the overwhelming support from Luca’s community — through book orders, custom stickers, and Round-Up for Rescue donations — we’re excited to share that Lunging Luca’s Rescue Fund is preparing to make its very first donation: $200!

This is just the beginning, and it means so much that Luca’s story is already helping real dogs in need. Whether this donation goes toward sponsoring a specific Dane, covering vet care, food, or transport, we’re working closely with the Northern Chapter of the Great Dane Rescue of New England to ensure it makes the biggest possible impact.
